Some of the latest developments are the T.I.P.(Turn In Pushers) sheets and the Neighborhood Task Force. This is an intervention which allows local citizens to report possible drug activity occuring in their neighborhood anonymously. Some of the suspious behaviors noted are exchanges of money and/or packages from car windows, car horn signals and unusual late night traffic and/or activity. These are obvious signs of drug dealing or illegal activities. This information can be faxed to (412) 233-3036, mailed or called into the police department at (412)233-8113 Ext. 31 where an investigation will be initiated.

The Neighborhood Task Force is an opportunity for citizens to play an active role in dealing with litter and crime problems plagueing the city. They are consistently recruiting citizens as volunteers and leaders to make this program a success. this program is an initiative to help rebuild the city making it a better community. This program will utilize various resources to aid in teaching citizens safety, and awareness tactics on how to deal with current problems affecting their neighborhood. This is an ongoing program that meets quarterly. For more information, please don't hesitate to call Ralph Imbrogno, City Manager at (412) 233-8113 or (412) 233-6924
