Scott has been the finance director for the City of Clairton since
2001. Prior to his fulltime employment with the city, Scott completed
two summer internships at the city through the Local Government Academy.
Scott also completed work in Washington, DC, at the US Congress. Scott
has a bachelor’s degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh and he is
working on a JD part-time. He is responsible for a fulltime staff and a
tax collection office. In 2005, he was also appointed as the Executive Director of the Clairton Redevelopment Authority. In that role, he is working on economic development projects throughout the city. “My biggest goal in Clairton is the creation of high paying industrial jobs. Clairton has a viable industrial corridor that is perfect for manufacturing and Clairton really needs to embrace its industrial character." |

Current Millage : Land is 75 mills and Buildings
are 3.1 mills for City Taxes which is determined and approved by City Council.
The School is 22 mills for School Taxes which is determined and approved
by The School Board. Note: Millage can change YEARLY
Specialized Letters:
All Letters are used for Refinancing or Selling of the property
3 Year Certification Letter of Taxes: This letter specifies what taxes were paid or unpaid for 3 years on a specific parcel of property.
Sewage Letters: This letter states the balance of sewage due to the City of Clairton.
Refuse Letters: These letters state the balance of refuse fees
due to the City of Clairton.
